Log Applique Album 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 from Virtual Quilter

I don’t usually like blues, but I like this lot of designs … and they are all pale blue with white.

It must have something to do with the applique, as I love applique.

For some reason even the flowers have blue leaves seams to work for me, and no matter how small a flower is in any design I have ever made up I sneak in green leaves.

I like to look at the bigger pictures of the individual designs, but I also enjoy being able to see them in a tight knit group like above. It sometimes helps ...

Log Applique Album 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 from Virtual Quilter

Log Cabin quilts have military precision in the placing of the pieces, add some dainty applique and they immediately look more dainty all over.

The precision is still there but certainly allows the soft touch to shine.

Love the design above … beautiful!

The last two for today are very similar Log Cabin layouts, but the applique blocks are more different …

… and I like the change!

My favourite is top right … love it.

Log Applique Album 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 from Virtual Quilter

It is blue, which is my least favourite colour, but I like it anyway.

In fact, I like all of today’s designs, despite the blue!

In this project file I wanted to try using Log Cabin blocks instead of sashing to separate applique blocks.

Sometimes I didn’t want to separate the applique blocks from each other, like the one above, when I wanted to connect the applique.

I really like the one above!

Left the best till last!

Log Applique Album 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 from Virtual Quilter

Found an old project file which had few designs by comparison to most, and those that were there needed attention, so saved five for today, then retired the project.

I like the challenge of trying to find suitable applique to use with, and on, Log Cabin blocks, and intend trying different colours, and different appliques in the future.

Love the one above … one of the reasons I had to use this project file one more time.

Like the one above too.

I love the last … the one which made me want to share a handful of the last 8 designs ...
